Venture Photography was founded by husband and wife team Hugh Anderson & Stacey B. Shy, shortly after they moved back to the States from Edinburgh, Scotland.

Stacey first discovered her passion for photography during her time at Andover High School, but she didn’t hone her technical skills until she attended the world-renowned Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara, California. She then went on to work for Cannongate and Stolen modeling agencies in Edinburgh, Scotland.

Stacey has garnered several accolades including contest wins from Betterphoto.com and Ephotozine.com, scholarships, an exhibition in Edinburgh, as well as being published in Intravel magazine and the book, Journey Two.

Photography has been a long time passion for Hugh, almost entirely in the field of people. He still remembers well the thrill of his first published work when the call came in from the national magazine Practical Photography, asking permission to feature his images, way back in 1987.

Today, the Venture mission is to create imaginative images that will be cherished by our clients for a lifetime.
